The list contains only some of covered entities of HIPAA, which have undergone HIPAA Security Training under DUMATEK. The training material covered the specifics of the HIPAA Security Rule. It specifically covered all 18 Security Standards in each of the 3 safeguard categories (administrative, physical, and technical), and the implementation specifications both “required” and “addressable” needed to meet each of the standards.

Training also covered the importance of the Risk Analysis as the first step towards compliance and how a Risk Analysis is performed/conducted and reviewed. It was stressed in the training that a covered entity cannot meet compliance without the Risk Analysis. Training also covered the latest HIPAA news and activities as well as best IT security practices for small business healthcare providers and practitioners when protecting electronic protected healthcare information (e-PHI) and addressing compliance.

All attendees were required to sign the attendance sheet at the time of their HIPAA Security Training to attest their understanding.

NOTE: Most of the companies listed below who have undergone HIPAA Security training have used DUMATEK HIPAA Security Solutions and Services as well. Some of the companies listed below continue to use DUMATEK for “ALL” their HIPAA Security and computer network needs for nearly a decade, and others for simply their Risk Analysis or on-going training on HIPAA Security.
